What are your thoughts on this coat?
It is being offered to me but I can not make up my mine exactly what it is.
It looks German but the buttons look Italian or British ?
No markings anywhere

Certainly not British buttons.
Had good advice? Saved money? Why not become a Gold Club Member, just hit the green "Join WRF Club" tab at the top of the page and help support the forum!
Buttons look to be Dutch airforce
They are not Italian buttons, I also think they are buttons of the Royal Netherlands Air Force.

For me maybe a wartime German great coat with fur collar added post war to make it into a coat for a lady
