    These belts are post-WWII. My uncle still has his from the 1970s-80s

    War-time belts are gray green (grigioverde) leather with a simple buckle.

    I wonder if the seller is ignorant (doubtful) or deliberately misleading. But thx anyway, saved me a little heartache there. I have a bit of a belt/buckle fetish... and I don't have anything Italian, so I thought it would be cool.

    Italian EM/ NCO belts are rather... boring... lol

    Officer's belt buckles are a lot more decorative... I've read that Italian air force belt buckles from WWII are quite rare and good looking... but ridiculously expensive.
