WWII Italian Helmet Net??

Greetings Friends,
I picked up this Brown-Colored Netting and suspect it's WWII Italian, but I don't know for sure and would greatly appreciate your help in identification...

What are those ends for?? Maybe a fishing net But in all seriousness, I do not know but would like to incase I ever stumble upon one.

Those are tucked into the helmet between shell and liner...tabs for the draw-strings I suppose...

Correct, you have an Italian net, but this is a post war one (quite common in the 80's). The wooden "nuts" actually are there to better fit the net to the helmet.
