1883 Model Naval Officer Dirk

Very nice collection and photo, would the leather scabbard be on earlier dirks and sharkskin on later ones? I would like to see them in chronological order to see the difference in materials and craftmanship, I am assuming there is no book that breaks them down in detail.

The dirks are placed , oldest type from left .

Fantastic collection of dirk's Gunto.
This comment might come off as strange to the perverted, But I like the Big Dirk in the middle.
Gunto did the bigger one have some sort of significances??

The Big one has an old blade mounted. The other ones has period made blades.
The large navy dirks are very rare.

Heres a photo of how to wear the navy dirk . The dirk is from Meiji area.
