1944 Dated Type 90 Helmet
Article about: Picked up this honest 1944 (19) dated Type 90 helmet a couple of weeks ago on auction. It does show nice features despite condition and appears all original, though the liner is a bit rough

Looks pretty nice. As for the rust. I would just store it in a stable low humidity environment and leave it as is.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

I agree with the above, and leave it alone!

Outstanding helmet !! What a great look to it. No post war abuse, just a nice dirty, dusty survivor. Anything you treat this shell with will ruin the patina that took 75 years to accumulate.
As stated above, one to leave as is

Thank you all for your responses. I do love the look of this helmet and I will just take your advice and keep it in a nice dry place. This is my second type 90 helmet and hopefully far from my last.
