This is the nicest 1st series Nagoya I've yet seen and I've had two others before. It's all matching numbers, including the dust cover and has it's original named sling. Note that the sling is a rubberized T-38 style of sling which works well with the lower oval swivel that was actually intended for the "quick disconnect" type of sling.

Very nice. I love those slings. I have one on my Type 44 and it is rock hard.

That is a gorgeous T99! I have one brought back by a family member from the Aleutians but I would love to grab an earlier one with all the features!

Maybe if you have an entire company shooting at a low flying Cessna?

I'm not too sure about that. At the National Training Center at Ft. Irwin, CA, we would launch a styrofoam RC aircraft over the live-fire range. It was never shot down during company-level live fire.

I couldn't find anything from the NTC, but found a civilian video about Machine Guns v. RC Aircraft.
Xn passes * Xn² rounds = 0 kills?

I will say, though, at the NTC we were using a "T" shaped aircraft, not delta wing; and the troops used M-16s (maybe a squad M-60, but don't clearly remember) -- and the only way you could get a kill was if you hit the engine. And nobody hit the RC engine during my 14 months as an Observer-Controller (2 weeks in the field each month).

Vietnam lore Guy...I will defer to you of course given you service...

But it is really alluding to that one in a million chance, one that you can never train or test for. That one shot that while near impossible, pierces that one missing scale in a dragons chest .

Like the story of the guy in his parachute who killed a Zero pilot with his .45? I believe that did actually happen though. Talk about one in a million!
