I can't read most of it, and I may have got "戦" wrong -- let's leave that to Nick. However, this particular calligraphy is by Araki Sadao. I'm familiar with his signature because he gave a calligraphy to my teacher and I had a copy of it carved into a wooden brush pot for Nakamura sensei.
Different calligrapher:
文武**
興亜之大業
Something about the [combination?] of literature and war is the great work for Asian development. There is a typical martial arts saying that is very similar to the given calligraphy: 文武両道 "Bun-Bu Ryo Do" [Literature and martial arts are both the same path." i.e., be accomplished in both literature and war.]

Thanks for the help. The other book I have is all war related art. It has a piece of paper inside with the title translated. Rich A. in Pa.

Here's that brush pot with Araki's calligraphy I mentioned:
1994. Nakamura Sensei shows a gift from Power Sensei. The calligraphy-brush holder is engraved by an artisan with Araki Sadao Sensei's calligraphy "Shin Ken Hyaku Ja Futsu".
Araki's original calligraphy:
神剣拂百邪
The Sword of God Sweeps Away 100 [i.e. All] Evil
If I understand my wife correctly, the saying is written in Chinese poetry fashion: Shinken Jya Hyaku Futusu
but read in Japanese by inverting grammar while still maintaining the same kanji order: Shinken Hyaku Jya Futsu. My wife had to study Chinese poetry in school and explained it to me that way ... if I got that correctly .... but it's all Greek to me!

I'm modernizing some of the kanji, so they won't all look the same.
