A proper original Yosegaki flag named to a Hideo Teramoto.
Thank you Nick , Is the other text greetings and good luck messages from his family ?
Only two slogans I can see. All others are names, friends, etc sending him off to war.
Thank you again Nick
That is a nice flag! I like it because of the above average number of signatures that cover the field. The large horizontal characters for Ki Buun Chokyu, and the large vertical name characters on the right-hand side stand out nicely. It's interesting too that the veteran named it and dated it. They sometimes did this as a reminder from where/when it was taken, but also to identify it should it be lost or stolen. Hinomaru yosegaki were highly prized war souvenirs, and tended to "disappear" from a fellow's possession if he were not careful.
