It takes special training to photograph a Japanese sword to determine if it a traditional hand forged water tempered blade or an oil tempered blade. Unfortunately, I can not tell from your pictures. In hand examination by a knowledgeable person is necessary.

LIFE'S LOSERS NEVER LEARN FROM THE ERROR OF THEIR WAYS.
Thanks Bob.
It looks to me like
関住兼松兼達作
Seki-juu Kanematsu Kanetatsu Saku
--Guy
If it has sho or seki stamp it isnt gendaito ,but showato (not traditional made)
He made low to medium grade showato.
Thanks Guy, Seki-juu Kanematsu Kanetatsu Saku , what does this mean?? Is Kanematsu a front name?
Thanks, but what do you think off this Ryujin Swords: Katana by Kanetatsu
Keep in mind that the term gendaito is used in two different ways and that the information contained in the Fuller and Gregory series of reference books is now somewhat dated. Much is still relavent but some perhaps not as much.

Stu
