I am a little overwhelmed by this thread. Thank you to all for your kind words. I was just recalling the days when everything worked and nothing hurt. Back in the days when 99% of the militaria available was unquestionable. Both are a lot different these days.

    Default Happy Rare Occurrence!!!

    古希おめでとうございます
    Koki omedetō gozaimasu

    --from the web --
The 70th year (koki, 古希), the name of which derives from a popular verse by the great Chinese poet Tufu (Toho, 杜甫, in Japanese). The poem goes:

    人生七十古来稀なり
    Jinsei nanaju korai mare nari

In ancient days reaching the age of 70 was rare.
