    Hello again,
This is a battered, rust-pitted sword in gunto koshirae, but the hada and hamon look interesting and definitely traditionally made. My impression is that it is older than WWII, but again I can't tell signatures apart.
Seems to be a challenging restoration project - I rescued the Kanenao lines relatively easy, still finishing the polish, but now I'll try to 'level up' with something that needs real restoration work, like this one.

I'll appreciate your help reading the mei, and of course your impressions of the sword are welcome too.

Sadayoshi Yamaguchi, which I don't think is very old (Showa).

Thank you, Nick and Guy. This seems right, although I was hoping for a Sadamitsu or some other =P one can dream, right?

I'll have to rethink this. Although it's an interesting challenge, it's too much effort (and investment - price is $800) for an almost ruined showato does not make much sense...

    Thank you guys!

The price is too high for a weak sword. The nakago of this blade is very thin and weak.
