I have a photograph that I believe to be of the battle of Midway. The photo is covered with tissue, which has writing on it. Any help with translation would be greatly appreciated.

死相のヨークタウン
Shadow of Death of the Yorktown
[that might better translate as "The Seal of Death of the Yorktown"???]
The photo upper left states:
敵ノ戦幕
Enemy's Battle Curtain [Line/Formation?]
Then shows a
空母ヨークタウン型
Yorktown-class aircraft carrier
surrounded by 5
直衛艦
Close-defense warship
or "close/dirext-support warship" ... cruiser or destroyer?
And identifies clouds:
