Help in translating award documents

Article about: Hello gentlemen. Please help me translate the text in the docs. And please provide information on the wooden box. Maybe there is a thread where I can read about these boxes? Many thanks!

    He was born in 1906, so he was as old as 32 when he got reactivated for the China Incident. He was a farmer before his time in the army, but had graduated high school, making him a very well educated farmer for those days. He was an infantry gunner and was also a stretcher bearer. In Sept. 1929 he received the 8th class of the sacred treasure. He was in the 47th Infantry Regiment. Entries start from Jan. 1927 and end in May 1938 before leaving for China. He was in the army from the very beginning of the Showa era, so his passbook is khaki unlike the later ones from 1930.

    Thank you Nick! I will add a few more images of the items that were stored in Mr. Endo's box. Perhaps they are related to him, or to his relatives. But in any case, it may be interesting for someone to look at objects of that time.

    The booklet with the next of kin badge and cord on the cover is what was given out to the family at the time of his enshrinement ceremony at Yasukuni Shrine. The first photo shows war bonds. Last photo shows train tickets and lottery tickets. I really like the map.
