Always a little further : it may be
Beyond that last blue mountain barred with snow
Across that angry or that glimmering sea...

    Thanks Alan.

Lol - this makes for a total of six at the moment.
It would be interesting to know who it belonged
to and what all is written..........

    Steve.

Here are some of my other flags - The problem is, are they
original - and exactly what era are they from ? A couple
of sellers claimed they were from Veterans of the
Pacific Theater, and the others came directly
    from Japan.........

A funny story about the above photo - it was down to the last
30 seconds or so at auction, and I mistakenly punched in
something like $2,650 instead of $26.50. I think it was
around $35 in the end, which is a lot really.........
    Regards,

    Steve.

    Hi Steve,

It's funny unless someone else makes the same mistake on the same auction.

    Congrats on a lovely flag!

Canada's IJA artifact problem, at least where I live is a dirth of military antique stores, thank God for the Internet. We use to have a decent shop here that got busted for its funny gun dealing business, a really bad move in gun-phobic Ontario. In order to rectify the situation I'm doing my level best to bring the entire Imperial Japanese Army war effort to Canada one item at a time, still have a way to go...

    Regards, Rod

Hi and thanks Rod. I know of a shop that had a
similar problem - they weren't allowed to sell
firearms afterwards. Try to leave some
'artifacts' for the rest of us.........
    Regards,

    Steve.

Steve, I'll try not to but it may be a doomed effort anyway.

I wonder if it's the same store? Their issues go back to the mid '90's at least. Sorry for being off topic.

    Best, Rod

    Nice Yosegaki Flag, Steve-san.

I'm still looking for one good example for myself.

    Cheers!
