Default Japan/Special Naval Landing Force/Saipan/ID Help

    Hi there,
I am new to the forum.
I was recently in Saipan for a very brief visit and spent a day exploring. I took photos of what I think is a part of the uniform of a Japanese Special Naval Landing Force soldier. It is made of some sort of thin metal and clearly has embossed on it the Cherry Blossom and Anchor symbol. Is it a piece of a uniform button? Cap Badge? Other? It is about the same circumference as a US one-cent coin. I'll try to attach photos of the front and back of the piece. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

This appears to be a uniform button from a standard IJN tunic,I have a reference book for SNLF and the buttons appear the same as standard,so could be SNLF as well.

It certainly looks to be part of a button , a very nice relic find
