Japanese Camo ww2 or post ww2 identification help
Article about: Hi all I'd appreciate it have I could some more informed opinions than mine on this Japanese helmet whether it's painted post ww2 or during.

I should say ‘post’ is a pretty safe bet...
If you can get it cheap enough (peanuts), it could be a good restoration project, however.

Camouflage or any other form of non-standard painting on helmets was against Japanese Army regulations, except for some very rare circumstances in which exceptions were made.
