Hand made fighting knife or knives brought out of Japan. I did not buy them but I told the seller I would get him some in site. I thought it was cool. Length is around 8-9" Marty

It looks like a knife i have seen in Russia but i doubt it's Russian

Any makers marks or stamps?
Obviously field made-probably from downed aircraft aluminum and local wood. The steel could be from anything. Not a very practical sheath system, having the 2 blades tight against each other when closed. Who made these? Doubtful, as Bob said, Japanese. More than likely, I would be leaning towards a US GI origin-maybe immediately post war? Interesting peck mark decoration on the blades.

The guy who wanted me to buy it picked it up in Japan in 54 while serving in the Marine Corp. no marker mark. You can tell it was "home made". I thought it was a cool concept in design.
