    Hi Mo

You asked for an opinion on these flags, so heres mine,

I can honestly say that they ARE flags!!

PS: No offence meant but you did ask for an opinion and it was an attempt to inject some humour into our, otherwise normally very serious forums!

They look good to me. But I would wait for more opinions.

I got a laugh out of it, no offence taken mate. : )

If it helps your judgements, both flags do have that classic 'smell' we all know and love.

I love that smell! (Keeps the wife out of my office) Just trying to find a way to bottle it and I'll sell it on the forum next Christmas.

P.S. They both look good to me as far as I can tell from the photo's (although I find it's always a bit difficult with Japanese ones)

    Hi Mo,

Glad to hear that on both counts mate.

Old flags, and cloth in general DOES have that distinct smell. I know what my Union Flag smells like, (my brother "liberated" it for me many years ago whilst on an overseas posting and it also has that distinct smell!)

On a more serious note, unfortunately I cant say anything more about yours other than to say that I like the look of them, but will NOT commit to any age or genuineness of them.

    Regards etc

Hi Mo , they look good to me , and as a side note , it is usually the Hinomaru with kanji that are faked not the blank variety so i would expect it to be fine . Is it made of silk ?
