Japanese POW artwork drawings

Hi All,
I am helping out a small local museum with military related items that they aquire, (you wont believe what walks in the door) these two drawings were brought in recently by a G.I who said he served at Pearl Harbor and said they were Japanese POW drawings from there, he said the POW'S didnt really have much to draw with and sometimes they used the bottoms of thier shoes, these look like they were done on some kind of brownish cloth material such as a grain bag or sack, the detail is alot better in person then the photo's show, I need help with translating the kanji/writing that is on them. I see one of them is dated 1946, I will post the photo's seperate as Geisha 1 and Geisha 2. Please help if you can and as always thank you!!!!!!!

EDIT: This image is of a samurai, I think -- note the sword. I've seen other prints where the male looks very feminine:

Thank you very much guy, this information is great news!!! I asked taka to take a look also but you beat him to it!! I will pass this information on to the museum so they can be properly displayed and explained to those who visit.

Here I can contribute one information, underneath the "okeru" wrote グアム (Guam).

娘島田は ? で解ける

It begins with a "standing heart" radical: 忄
