Japanese Steel Helmet

I mostly stick with Type 95 swords, but thought I'd share this old helmet I've had a while. Great condition, been sitting on display and unchanged from how I got it. No idea about the badge, I assume it's added later and unrelated to the helmet.

Original liner is intact and still has an old paper strip around the fold in the liner. Just a nice example and I'm looking forward to reading Nick's article on helmets so I can actually figure out what I have.

You're right about the badge, definitely a post war add on.
You have a nice clean example of a Civil defence helmet IMO.
