I need Bob & Stu's help here. The one side says "Bungo no Kami", but the other side says "Wakashu Resident".
??? ???
豊後守源国義
Bungo-no-Kami Minamoto Kuniyoshi
Minamoto Kuniyosih, Lord of Bungo
若州住
Jakushū-jū
Residing in Jakushū [Wakasa Province]
I thought it was read as "Waka-shū", but according to the Wiki, it 若 [waka] is pronounced as Jaku in this case.

A well cut signature by a minor smith working around the Kanbun era(1661). I would have no problem with this being a genuine signature.

Many thanks gents - Will see how the auctions play out. Hopefully I can win it! Really love these antique blades!
Good luck!!
After looking at the pictures again, this may be a wakizashi and not a tanto.
