Japanese Wakizashi Unsigned Identification

Hi,

I have this unsigned Samurai sword and was wondering if there is any way to date it or figure out the maker.

The only way to give definitive information on your blade would be in hand study. Total construction of the blade must be identified including the grain of the steel, the type of steel, the form and type of tempering. At best, you may be able to obtain an attribution to a school of swordmakers and approximate date. Many wakizashi like this were mass produced by smiths of little talent.
