I see no reason why they could not have been removed from a crashed Japanese plane....GI's often had alot of time to go scrounging and exploring crash sites and such after the action was long past. I could easily picture guys climbing about a wrecked up plane pulling off anything they could get a pair of pliers onto or remove by hand. Very intriguing box of stuff for 7 bucks!

    Takehito says:

Joe, got your e-mail. Sorry for the delay but been traveling around in Tokyo and was away from the laptop for a day.
Those two pair of parts do look like some kind of fuel or air valve, with the cylindrical ones having the maker name Takada (高田) marked on it, and the lever valve marked for the in (入) and out (出) ports. Not sure if these came off an aircraft but definitely possible.
The other piece looks to be a fuse propeller stopper for the TYpe 99 Mark 3 practice 30kg smoke bomb.
In any case $10 for the whole shebang is a great snag on part of the youngun and give him a hearty congrats !
