My first Imperial Personal Japanese Flag with a lot of Kanji

Just thought I´d share this. I´ve been wanting to buy one for some 20+ years. Finally this one caught my eye and interest today. For me it´s the perfect one (lots of Kanji

and now it´s got a place in my collection connected to the war in the pacific.

Thanks to all of you guys. What I find most interesting about this flag (and why I bought it) is not only the amount of writing on it but the seemingly different "ages" of the writing. Some of the writings even seem to overlap each other. Now I´m goin to get it "into translation"

An exceptional yosegaki hinomaru. This fellow evidently had a very large going off to war party. The most interesting one I ever saw was signed by many Japanese movie stars of the era. That flag was evidently given to a man who worked in the Japanese film industry. I wonder where it is today.
Each one of these is a very interesting piece of personal soldier's history. The majority are blood stained as the soldiers carried these on their person when they went in to battle.
