    Default Naval field cap

    Hello,

I do not know much about Japanese militaria, but I was offered this cap at a very low price. It looks a little too nice for Imperial Japan. Another strange characteristic of this cap, is that the maker mark is in English. Can anyone comment on the authenticity of this cap? Also please excuse the picture quality and orientation, I only have my phone to work with at the moment. Thank you.

Modern repro made by Nakata in Tokyo, which is like the Michael Janke of Japanese uniforms.
