Got this from a whole sale lot on ebay. Just started the militaria collecting hobby, so i'm a bit of a newbie.

It was listed as a WWII Japanese binocular case and I want to resell it but I want to properly identify it first. I'm not sure if its really from WWII, might be a postwar item.

About 7 inches in length, 5 inches in height and 2 & 1/2 inches at narrowest width.

It has a bit of wear with red velvet like lining inside.

It certainly appears to be post-war, as it has a patent mark on the leather hinge of it embossed in English. That, and the military wouldn't have had such velvet kind of linings in their cases and would have carried markings to indicate the service branch, etc.. William
