Love it Stu ! Have you ever had it translated ?
Thanks Jareth.
No, I have not had it translated. Perhaps I can entice Guy into that task but with all he does for us here and over at WAF I'm reluctant to ask for more. I'll have to sneak up on it by mentioning that it's not yet translated and how much I wish it were.
Regards,
Stu
Thanks Guy. Much appreciated.
This one has a sleeve at the top and I'm mounting it on a bamboo rod inside a shadowbox type frame. The flag will be free hanging suspended from the rod across the top but not touching either the front nor the back of the box.
I'll add an additional photo of the red kanji on the right side. Is it that they are not clear or perhaps unknown to you? The top one looks almost like a stickman cartoon figure of sorts.
Regards,
Stu
撃ちてし止まむ
Uchiteshi yamamu.
According to my wife, "mu" is written, but is actually pronounced "n" -- so, Uchite shi Yaman.
I found a translation googling:It's also the title of a wartime song:Literally translated, the slogan means "Continue to Shoot, Do not Desist," but a more colloquial translation would be "Keep up the Fight" or "Stay on the Offensive."

REGARDS AL
We are the Pilgrims , master, we shall go
Always a little further : it may be
Beyond that last blue mountain barred with snow
Across that angry or that glimmering sea...
Stu,
Very nice banner. The colors really pop on this one.
