    Hi everybody.

    I have recently bought an old glass pic. It is very cool.
    As you can see he is a military man, but I don't know the exact era or the unit, but I think it could be from the Meiji era.

    Could anyone help me to identify it?.

    What did you uses to make the image visible ? I have some old family negatives that i'd love to see come to life in such a way.

    I used IrfanView, which is available as freeware. It's primarily a viewer, but also has some image editing features, including negative conversion. (Of course, many other types of picture viewer- and image processing software are capable of that as well.)

    If you have a iphone theres a option in the settings to atleast view items in invert

    That photo would have been taken between 1912 and 1925 or in the latter half of 1937, going by the collar tab design.

    After the Siberian Intervention, the 69th Infantry Regiment had not existed since being disbanded in 1925, but was revived in August 1937 after the outbreak of the China Incident.

    In May 1938, the uniform already changed to the Type 98 with folded collar.

    If you have "paint" scan-copy the photo onto the "paint" app and simply "invert colour"!Old glass pic
