I found these in a flea market on a recent business trip to Japan and thought I would post for your comments.

Firstly an officers cap, in it's box, actually the whole uniform was there but the insignia had been removed and I didn't have the space to bring it all back.

A 10" x 12" flag on a telescopic mount, I think this is the type that went in the end of the rifle barrel you see in the victory photos. The mount doesn't collapse fully, or at least I'm not pushing any harder on it.

Lastly, a pair of tankers goggles, how do I know they were tankers......because the helmet was there , a nice condition used summer tankers helmet. I didn't have enough money left and no time to wait for the banks to open because I had to go to work. I offered everything I had on me, but just didn't have enough, and I've been lamenting it ever since That being said I'm happy with the haul and getting better a picking this stuff out.

    Hi Steve-san,

Great that you got yourself some souvenir, congrats!

The visor is from Meiji era, graduation (Infantry) of NCO, Petty Officer.

May I ask are there any tags stitched on the puttees?

    Regards,
    Taka

    Thanks Taka-san,
Unfortunately there are no tags on the puttees.

I hope you didn't pay much on them.

The puttees might be civilian made/use examples.

From what I see, the cap is a civilian type as well.

    Regards,
    Taka

I didn't pay too much at all, in fact the puttees I didn't realize I was getting until the deal was done. Which civilian organization would have used the cap, and how do you tell the difference between civilian and army caps?

    Thanks,
    Steve.

Goggles are multi purpose. Used by truck drivers, motorcyclists etc. They're extremely common & not "true" tanker model.
