Today on WAF Japanese board I read of the passing of Mr. Nakata. He was a pioneering collector, author, owner of one of the few militaria shops in Japan and manufacturer of quality Japanese military reproductions.

Sorry to hear, prayers for his friends and family.

I did not know him, but it is always sad to hear of the passing of a fellow enthusiast. Peace and blessings to his family. Leon.
Sincere condolences to the Nakata family.

Russ
I was very sad when I heard of the news a couple days ago. I have some uniforms and items from Mr. Nakata's store and they are excellent. His contributions to Japanese collecting and reenacting will not be forgotten. I believe he will live on with all the knowledge he provided to collectors, and the countless movie actors and reenactors he has outfitted.
Very sad indeed.
May he Rest In Peace.
