Article about: I havent seen many treads about cups here on the Japanese militaria forum, it has mostly been question about cups. So i thought that i should start one. Im fairly new at collecting cups and

    I can't make out the full poem, so there are some errors here .... but it's something like this:
    乗りふ礼し愛馬を殊さし一しすく
    "Ride without being impolite while taking special care of your dear horse"

    The colored kanji/kana are the ones I'm guessing at.

    The term 愛馬 "aiba" literally means "love horse", but implies Favorite Horse.

    I look forward to Nick correcting my errors.

    My daughter is getting quite an interesting collection amassed while she toils away in college!
