    Default Student's Passbook?

I won this lot of Passbooks on Ebay recently. The two on the right are typical late war examples. The one on the right (which has the same name on it as one of the two on the right) is a bit odd though. It was listed as a student's book, which sounds right, but I was curious to know what type of student it would be for? As always, I am deeply thankful for all of the assistance rendered.

    Student's Passbook?

Not for students, but for those put directly in reserve. For not being "A" grade in physical exam, etc.

Thank you! Are the reserve passbooks common?

They are common enough, but probably rare for WW2, as they could not afford to be choosey any more. More details here.
