Greetings all,
I recently picked up this cover for the Type 90 helmet. I am still not 100% on its originality. Any opinions on this one?
Appears to be an early unlined version but is marked. Could anyone translate for me?
Many thanks in advance

Fake.
Thanks Gunto, I had my reservations. May I ask what gives it away for you? To me, the stitching and although I can't even read it; the writing seems off, too bright etc.
It is always best to point out what makes this cover a fake. This makes the thread informative and a teaching tool. I, for one, would like to know as this is outside my area of study.

Ditto on what Bob said . I would also like to learn something about these.

Hi,
Looks like a movie prop.
The construction is wrong and bad, should have inner white fabric covered.
Wrong Mfg. Stampings. Added from some other specs.
Also the alignments (sections) are not equal.

Taka

It's an early repro. My guess is vintage 70's. All real covers have white liner interiors to start
I see now what was being looked at!!
Thank you Taka-San for the picture
