Nice piece. 👍
Respectfully, I disagree with the 1945 date. I’d put it years earlier.

Looks clean and honest, but could you take another pic of the scabbard throat again please.
There are 2 different sized fonts used in the stamping, and what looks like talcum powder smeared across them.
It could be glare from the flash, but i'm not 100% with that
May i ask you for the history of the sword - as in. where you got it from??
I would place the year of manufacture at early 1942, not 1945 also.
Here's a cleaned up version of your picture
Fair enough,
No doubt the scabbard is original, just commented on the throat stampings......
Which groups that are dedicated to this only are you talking about??
Thanks for the new pic, but unfortunately it is not in focus.
Thought you may find this interesting, from the NMB forum.
Showa22 At It Again! - Military Swords of Japan - Nihonto Message Board
I find all area's of militaria interesting, however, my sole field of collecting is the Type 95 Gunto.
In that no talcum powder sorry
Yes, some of those group members are also members on the NMB and other forums- that is good.
Also no need to be sorry!, if its not powder then it is glare from the flash. So all good.
I known this showa 22 but i not buy from him
