    Default Unit Marked Japanese Bayonet?

Hey guys, bought this today and diddnt notice the handle stamp until I opened it. I think its an early Type 30 Nagoya bayonet. The scabbard does not seem to have a serial number. The serial on the hilt is pretty faint. Any ideas on the handle marking? I can add more pics if there is something relevant that I am missing.

The "Correct" term on this forum is "Japanese".... Please take note.... Gwar

Most likely Kokura if made post 1936

Here is a good resource I use often

Markings on Japanese Arisaka Rifles and Bayonets of World War II

And GWAR is 100% correct. This is a derogatory term. I would recommend you PM to moderator to adjust your thread title.

Further, I can not tell the age so if pre 36 it could be tokyo. It has many of the characteristics of an earlier production...contoured grip, birds head pommel , hooked quilon, screwed grips. Is it a two piece or wrap around grip?

Hopefully some one can give a better estimate on age.

I do not know the meaning of the numbers

It is a 2 piece construction. Any idea on the grips?
