After a few closer looks, the owner was in 海軍 山田部隊 (Kaigun Yamada Butai) - Navy Yamada Unit. However, I couldn't make out his name.

    Best regards,

I'm fairly certain his last name begins with "house", and the following character looks like "no" .... but there are no "Ieno" families that I could find on Google. Could the be a sloppy [ta/da - rice field]? There IS a family name "Ieda"
