Default When Posting Japanese Sword Tangs For Translation

Many swords are posted on this forum with the tang signatures sideways or upside down. In many cases, they are also rusty and faintly cut making it very difficult to read. The proper way to read the signature is vertical with the top being towards the point and the bottom the butt of the tang. When posting, please also show the entire tang as it will aid in identification on older blades. Thanks
