Not something I have collected before but I am almost certain Jap para helmets had a complete different setup to this one. Dont know what it is, Pricey though!

I do not collect really Japonese stuff,but this does not look like the Japonese paratrooper helmets I know of.
They usely go for 15000 to 17000.
the helmet you are showing has the Japonese naval badge on the front if I am seing right.

Good spotting, its does have the naval badge in the front. Its not a SNLF helmet which would hold that badge (not the same shape as mine) and it doesnt look like a type 90 so I would guess its a shipboard helmet or civil lid? Dont know

I might have an Idea on what it is. Just looking at the pics on flebay and comparing to a Type 90, this helmet looks like its been cut down, to leave a slight flare at the front and nothing at the back. Only thing I can think of at this stage

I was thinking the same thing.
the guy is calling it a Navy paratrooper helmet.

lol, great minds think alike hey! Looking at the added rear bails that make the chinstrap look conveniently like paratrooper "A" frame webbing makes me giggle.

and check out the place name spelling...not even remotely close

I look at the other WW2 Japonese paratrooper helmets,nothing close to this one.
but I could be wrong.
