WW2 japanese sword

I just got this in the mail today.I feel like a kid again!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the blade is not Japanese but a Chinese copy. The mounts appear to be period Japanese. During the heyday of Japanese sword buyers buying swords in China in the 1980's, they would buy only the blades as the military mounts had no interest to them. I also note that the handle does not have the ornaments known as menuki. Consider sending this piece back.

As Bob has said in a very polite way it is a chinese fake.
Blade ,scabbard, tsuba (hand guard). Everything on it are modern copies intended to defraud unknowing collectors.

Just looked at the link,
I'm not an expert, but I never saw an orriginal Katana go at those prices.
IMO all fake.

contacted the guy about two japanese swords,asked him if they were correct japanese swords he says yes.but they are not.so if the guy said that to you,you will get your cash back from ebay.
