I have just found this item and hope someone can help me to identify it: It appears to be a headband but I am not sure what the symbols on it mean or if it was military at all? Any help identifying would be appreciated. It measures 35 inches long by approximately 12 inches wide.

It is neither a military item or a head band or hachimaki. It is a typical Japanese hand towel with a patriotic slogan written on it. Possibly a give away for a contribution to the war effort.
