Here is another item I found at the museum this weekend that I am not sure about. My friend said it was worn by Japanese pilots during WWII. My question is it real and if so was it a pilots headband?? Thanks!

Seems to me, that most Kamikaze bands I've seen were made of silk...but I could be wrong. They did make other types of head bands in Cotton also. They Were enormously replicated from almost day one after the war and ever since,though, I know. Japanese artifacts were never my strong point. William

My neighbor has one of these, but he cannot find it, he just turned 89 today, thinks he might have given it to his son, but not sure, he was in the Navy WW2 pilot trainer.
