1938 W.K.C. bayonet question

i have a wkc bayonet. its in real nice shape with scabbard. I'm wondering if anyone knows a site that i can find more info about it (with the serial number). The serial number is 714 n. Also, the wood on the handle is smooth, not grooved like most. I would like to know if its been repaired with a smooth handle. Please reply. Thanks!
