    Default 1940 K98 dress bayonet?

Hey guys, I could use some thoughts to help ID this bayonet. It was made by Emil Voos Solingen. Just typing that name is I found info that it is a K98 dress bayo due to its high shine nickel finish. My question is about the scabbard and if it is the right one for the bayo. I dont have the frog though..... Also, which part of the german armed forces would wear this for dress?... Heres some pics

    One side scabbard markings

    Other side scabbard markings

    Thanx for any help

It`s an army dress bayonet, but the scabbard is for a combat bayonet.

Thanx. Did all ranks of the Heer wear these during parades or socials? Or were these for officers only? Cool to know the scabbard is still somewhat correct

These would be worn by enlisted men,not officers.

    Hi !

German dress bayonets were coming in to blade lenghts, but:

Not every blade fits to every scabbard ! ! !

That is generally true, but the senior grade NCO's (Unteroffizier mit Portepee) would have carried (officer's model) swords. FP
