It looks to me like a very nice complete rig with a later 1943 bayonet by Hoerster, and a dated RB # marked general issue Wehrmacht frog. So it could have been for the Luftwaffe but IMO that's not guaranteed. Well done, and thanks for sharing. Best Regards, Fred

Very nice looking bayonet, the frog looks hardly used if any. Good condition bakelite grips too.
Very impressive bayonet, actually an exceptionally good example. I'm not quite so enthusiastic about the frog though, it looks just a little too new to me. Location code 0676 is Offenbach in my records.
The frog itself from the images to me looks to be period. That said, it's possible that it could be a later addition which at this late date is often a judgement situation where wear markings etc. come into play in trying to figure out the possible history of a specific item. Best Regards, Fred
As mentioned by FP, it should be a nice 943 rig. matching S84/98 with proper frog.Probably no link to LW.Somehow proofed to start sharpening, luckily he didnt continued.b.r.Andy
