    Hi Guys,
Please see below a matching numbered K98 bayonet and frog dated 1943 which I purchased yesterday at the Stoneleigh militaria fair. This is my first "blade" purchase and welcome any comments or observations.

Beautiful bluing on that blade! Nice to see a matching one. I've always preferred these bayonets over the ones with Bakelite grips.

A nice example, WKC military production started using wood for grips in 1942 - through 1944. With of course the exception of the so-called "mid-war Commercial" types (non-Army contracts) that instead used the late type Bakelite. Best Regards, Fred

A nice clean bayonet with obvious signs of field service. I really like to see a bit of bluing wear on the blade and scabbard as it"s the sign of field service, yet it's been stored well and in excellent condition. Great find!
