You make a very good point here. Items such as grip plates must have come from outside contractors, hence the variations. I wonder too if the firm had more than one mould for producing the castings for the hilts, again hence the variation to the shape? I cannot see them having just the one really.

The Holler engraved is a very nice piece. They made the longer version too, that had more engraving at the "bookend"
