    Hi Dok ..yes these do exist and I will leave this thread here until more thoughts are given before I move it to the Imperial forum .

    Thank you. The question is solved. In the book of А. Carter "German bayonets" on Ferd.Esser was specified only in 1915 and 1916.

    Hi Dok..I will eave this thread here a few days longer to let the other guys give their thoughts also.
    Anthony Carter has done fabulous work on Solingen producers and his Bayo reference is one that I dont have..which I will add to my library.

    Larry another rare instance of a bayonet ... is not described in the book А. Carter

    Hi Dok..good to hear from you..looking at the markings they appear to be WKC..having the King and Crown Icons. Thoughts ?

    Anthony Carters Reference is a great undertaking in the history of these Edged producers.

    The last one CITO,was made by Ernst Pack and sometimes can be find marked CITO-COLN

    CITO is certainly one of the rarer makers of the S98/05. None of them appear to be dated according to Carter in his book on the subject.
    I have a single instance of an exception to this
