Commercial contract I would imagine - some are marked some aren't.
1944 manufacture possibly - based on the finish and the grip material.

Did you remove the grip-plates ?
Maybe there´s a mark on the spine ?
Push the press catch and have a look, if there´s a mark stamped upon the inner part.

Not a German Army contract bayonet, what is often called a "mid war commercial" version of the 98K bayonet. If memory serves me correctly, this one was made by Hörster in the 43/44 time frame. And probably has a single Waffenamt underneath the flash guard, a very short distance from the slot for the rifle's bayonet mounting attachment . FP
