Found this while trolling through Ebay's bayonets. This is the worst ive seen in a while as far as bayonets are concerned. The guy is selling it for $75 usd!! haha It would have been worth more completely RUSTED!! why do people do this stuff!!??

this things where real modern ones and a lot of gear got cromed, dont know why but just take a look at cromed luger or cromed ss dagger
cmon guys, you know you wanna buy the "pimped out" bayonet...put some gold grip screws on it
Possibly done by a GI in the early postwar period as this was a popular practise, as chrome was fashionable back then.

ya, ive seen some fittings that get chromed on some daggers, but I think they took this one over the top a little

haha I guess its just new to me!! Its gonna have to take some getting used to!
I think the scabbard all chromed out just rubbed me the wrong way. After seeing JUST the bayonet, its not soo bad. I think if it were just the fittings chromed and not the blade, I wouldnt mind it at all. I could also see doing it to a dress bayo, but a combat?

I honestly had no idea that people were into chroming bayonets back then!! At least I can say I learned something new today
