As far as I know, letters seen under the serial number are a code which indicates
an amount of 10,000 bayonets produced - ie, the first 10,000 bayonets made
would have no code letter, the next batch of 10,000 would have an 'a' under
the serial and so on - but it appears that only maker 'crs' ( Paul Weyersberg
& Co. Solingen ) used the two letter code 'Tr'.........

But you also get 41 crs bayonets with conventional numbers such as this

    k98 bayonets data and registry

    and then a strange one

First link shows a normal marking, IMO - no problem there. The second is
indeed strange - simply human error ? I don't think all the anomalies
    have been sorted out !

The BCN site is a good source of info, and there is nothing about these
oddities that I could find. They could have been subcontracted pieces,
or produced at a secondary location, etc.........
    Regards,

    Steve.
